Why it matters: ETH Zurich's spin-off Qendra is developing control systems for quantum computers, a market the university describes as expanding.

ETH Zurich reported that its spin-off Qendra is developing control systems for quantum computers.

According to ETH Zurich, such systems deliver algorithms to quantum hardware while immediately detecting and correcting erroneous calculations, which the university says quantum computers need in order to work.

ETH Zurich said this work makes Qendra a player in an expanding market.
