Why it matters: Three CNR researchers working in Earth observation, biodiversity conservation and plant science gain a listing in both the world and Italy rankings.

The National Research Council of Italy (CNR) said on 23 October 2026 that three of its affiliated scientists had been included in Research.com's 2026 Best Rising Stars of Science ranking.

According to CNR, the three appear in both the 2026 world list and the 2026 Italy list of Best Rising Stars of Science.

CNR named the researchers as Gemine Vivone of CNR-IMIOT, Stefano Mammola of CNR-IRSA and Cecilia Brunetti of CNR-IPSP.

CNR said the listings highlight research contributions in Earth observation, biodiversity conservation and plant science.
