Peru's Pronabec opens 20 extraordinary scholarships for postgraduate study abroad on 30 October
Pronabec, Peru's state scholarship programme, will accept applications from 30 October to 13 November for 20 Beca Generación del Bicentenario awards covering master's and doctoral study overseas.
Why it matters: Peruvians already admitted to eligible foreign master's or doctoral programmes starting by end-2027 have a two-week window to seek state funding from January 2027.
Pronabec, the national scholarship and education credit programme of Peru's Ministry of Education, said an extraordinary call for the Beca Generación del Bicentenario opens on Friday 30 October and closes on Friday 13 November at 23:59, with free online applications.
According to Pronabec, the call offers 20 scholarships for master's or doctoral study abroad, aimed at high-achieving Peruvians lacking the financial means to pay for such study.
The programme said the awards cover tuition, fees, accommodation, food, international travel, health insurance, degree conferral, thesis research and administrative costs, with benefits paid from 1 January 2027 and no coverage for study time already completed.
Applicants need at least two years of professional experience after their bachelor's degree, must rank in at least the top third of their cohort or equivalent, and must hold an offer from an eligible institution with studies starting between 1 July 2026 and 31 December 2027, Pronabec said.
