Maastricht University's Faculty of Law will host Kiril Velitchkov of a Sofia University-linked intellectual property master's programme for a lecture on using intangible assets to raise finance.
Why it matters: Staff and students at Maastricht University interested in intellectual property and innovation finance can attend the open lecture on 19 November 2026.
Maastricht University announced that the next lecture in its IGIR/IPKM expert series will take place on 19 November 2026 from 18:30 to 20:30 in the Feestzaal of the Faculty of Law, Bouillonstraat 1-3.
The speaker is Kiril Velitchkov, Chief Assistant Professor and Director of the MA in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, which the announcement describes as a joint programme of WIPO, Sofia University and the Bulgarian Patent Office.
According to the abstract, the lecture will examine how patents, trademarks, software and other intangible assets can support finance, a potential the organisers say remains significantly underexploited.
The university said the series covers innovation, trade, investment and competition law, brings in speakers from academia and private practice, and is open to all.
