Why it matters: GJU students and graduates are the group recognised under the university's Best Achiever Awards, which reward innovation, research, academic results and leadership.

The German Jordanian University (GJU) said it presented its Best Achiever Awards 2026 to three female students at the closing ceremony of FutureTech Summit 2026.

According to the university, 25 students were shortlisted and 10 were invited to the closing ceremony, where the three winners were revealed.

GJU said Karmel Al-Qawasmi took first place for innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership, while Salma Al-Kurdi came second for academic performance, research, scholarships and publications.

Ban Tarawneh placed third, the university said, citing her cumulative grade point average, results in financial technology competitions, Erasmus+ participation and technical leadership.
