IPB University takes seven Abdidaya Ormawa 2026 prizes, including most innovative university
Indonesia's IPB University won seven prizes at the ministry-run 2026 Abdidaya Ormawa awards for student community-service work, including first place as most innovative university.
Why it matters: IPB University's student associations, students and a supervising lecturer received national prizes for community empowerment work under a ministry programme.
IPB University said it won seven awards at Anugerah Abdidaya Ormawa 2026, organised by Indonesia's Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), with the ceremony held at Universitas Muslim Indonesia in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on 21–25 October.
According to the university, its prizes included first place for most innovative institution in the university category, first place in the supervising lecturer category for Prof Illah Sailah, and first place for most innovative student organisation for its agro-industrial technology students' association.
The university said the awards are the culmination of the Student Organisation Capacity Strengthening Programme (PPK Ormawa) in community service and serve as national recognition for universities, student organisations, supervising lecturers and students.
Prof Deni, IPB University's Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs, congratulated the winners and said he hoped the result would motivate all student organisations to continue raising the quality of their programmes.
