Why it matters: French universities running PUIs (university innovation hubs) and their partner SATTs are the parties this description of technology transfer roles directly concerns.

Réseau SATT, which groups France's technology transfer acceleration companies (SATTs), published an article presenting SATT AxLR as an example of SATT involvement in university innovation hubs.

According to the network, the Pôles Universitaires d'Innovation (PUI, university innovation hubs) were set up under the France 2030 programme and are carried by universities.

The network said the hubs are intended to strengthen and speed up innovation in regional ecosystems.

Réseau SATT described SATTs as strategic and operational technology transfer actors at the core of the hubs.
