Why it matters: Research from the Université de Picardie Jules Verne's glycochemistry laboratory, built over more than 10 years, is now licensed exclusively to Glyx Therapeutics for further drug-candidate development.

According to Réseau SATT, a network of French technology transfer acceleration companies, an innovation from the Laboratoire de Glycochimie et des Agroressources d'Amiens (LG2A) at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) has reached a new stage after more than 10 years of research.

SATT Nord and the Amiens-based start-up Glyx Therapeutics have signed an exclusive licence to pursue the development of a new generation of drug candidates.

Réseau SATT describes Glyx Therapeutics as a start-up that emerged from UPJV research and says its work opens a new therapeutic route against neurodegenerative diseases.
