Why it matters: Patients with type 2 diabetes are the population for the phase 1b clinical study that AdipoPharma's molecule PATAS is entering.

According to Réseau SATT, the network of French technology transfer acceleration companies, the molecule PATAS developed by Strasbourg biotech AdipoPharma is entering a phase 1b clinical study.

The network said the study concerns patients with type 2 diabetes.

Réseau SATT said AdipoPharma was created in 2017 and described the start-up as propelled by Conectus.

Réseau SATT called the step a major advance that illustrates how technology transfer carried by Conectus turns scientific discoveries into health innovations.
