Why it matters: Employers seeking to promote staff health are the intended users of the recommendations accompanying the alliance's model.

The European University for Well-Being alliance (EUniWell), which the University of Cologne coordinates, has developed a model describing possible connections between stress at work and biological ageing.

According to the alliance, the model also offers recommendations on how employers can support the health of their staff.

The findings have appeared in the journal GeroScience.
