Why it matters: Low-income families are the stated recipients of the wooden homes built at Universidad Nacional de La Plata, whose first units were handed over on 4 November.
Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) reported that the first social housing units it developed were handed over on the morning of 4 November.
According to the university, the homes are made of wood, were produced at UNLP and are intended for families on low incomes.
UNLP's president, Fernando Tauber, delivered the homes together with Silvina Batakis, Buenos Aires province's Minister of Habitat and Urban Development, the university said.
