Why it matters: Computing courses that offer programming subjects without a lab for coding practice face the constraint the university says the app was developed with in mind.

Wyllian Bezerra da Silva, a professor in the Department of Informatics and Statistics (INE) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), has developed an app to support practical programming activities, the university reported.

According to the university, a common difficulty for institutions offering computing courses is running programming subjects without a laboratory available for hands-on coding activities.

The university said the professor developed the app mindful of this constraint.
