Universidad de Concepción hosts Biobío craft fair bringing together more than 40 regional artisans
A craft fair organised by a Biobío artisans' trade association, with backing from the Universidad de Concepción's community engagement vice-rectorate, is gathering more than 40 craftspeople from the region at the university.
Why it matters: More than 40 Biobío artisans are showing their work at the Universidad de Concepción through an event its engagement vice-rectorate supports.
The Universidad de Concepción (UdeC) in Chile reported that the fair 'Biobío, la última frontera y su artesanía' (Biobío, the last frontier and its craftsmanship) is bringing trades and traditions together at the university.
According to the university, the event is organised by the Asociación Gremial de Artesanos Creadores del Biobío, a trade association of Biobío craft makers.
The university said it supports the fair through its Vice-Rectorate for Institutional Relations and Community Engagement (VRIM, Vicerrectoría de Relaciones Institucionales y Vinculación con el Medio).
The fair gathers more than 40 artisans from the region, the university said.
