Why it matters: Peruvian universities seeking a licence modification to create a filial will follow the Normas Consolidadas annexed to SUNEDU's Resolution 00130-2026.

SUNEDU, Peru's National Superintendency of University Higher Education, issued Resolution 00130-2026-SUNEDU approving consolidated rules for the procedure to modify a licence through the creation of a filial (branch campus).

According to SUNEDU, the consolidated rules bring together the current text of the institutional licensing procedure regulation, approved by Board Resolution 008-2017-SUNEDU/CD.

The rules also incorporate the matrix of basic quality conditions of the institutional licensing model, originally approved as Annex 2 of Board Resolution 006-2015-SUNEDU/CD, SUNEDU said.

The consolidated rules are attached as Annex 1 and form an integral part of the resolution.
