KNUST library coaches newly hired academics on research profiles and publishing ethics
The library service at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi has run a course for recently hired lecturers covering research methods, online tools and responsible publication.
Why it matters: Recently hired KNUST academics were given library guidance on building researcher profiles and choosing where and how to publish responsibly.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, said its Library System ran a course for recently hired academics on research methods, online tools and responsible publication.
The university said attendees learned how to set up and maintain scholarly profiles on ORCID, Google Scholar, ResearchGate and Scopus so their work is easier to find and access.
University Librarian Dr Richard Bruce Lamptey described the course as one of the library's ways of backing staff and advancing KNUST's research and innovation goals.
Dr Lamptey also highlighted integrity in research, including proper use of Turnitin.
