Why it matters: People working in disaster-risk management training or technical assistance will be able to seek certification from CENEPRED once its access to the SIGICE platform is set up.

Sineace, Peru's national system for evaluation, accreditation and certification of educational quality, issued Resolution 000026-2026-COSUSINEACE/PE formalising Agreement 005-2026-CD-CC.

According to the resolution, the board of Coneaces, the council for quality in non-university higher education, approved the agreement at an ordinary session on 16 October 2026.

The agreement authorises CENEPRED, the National Centre for Estimation, Prevention and Reduction of Disaster Risk, as a competency certifying entity for two standards: facilitating training activity and providing technical assistance in disaster-risk management.

The resolution instructs Coneaces' evaluation and certification directorate to register the authorisation in SIGICE, the certification information management system, and arrange login credentials so CENEPRED can manage its certification processes there.

CENEPRED is authorised to certify competencies in the two disaster-risk management standards, and it will run those certification processes through SIGICE once Coneaces' evaluation and certification directorate registers the authorisation and issues its access credentials.
