Why it matters: Universidad Nacional de Frontera's case file at SUNEDU will be processed without the involvement of the evaluation directorate's head while she holds that post.

SUNEDU, Peru's National Superintendency of University Higher Education, issued resolution 00140-2026-SUNEDU ordering Carmen Ivette Agreda Valdez, Director of its Directorate for Evaluation of University Higher Education Services (DIRESESU), to abstain from an administrative case file.

According to the resolution, the case file is handled by SUNEDU's UDRA unit, is linked to Results Report No. 00091-2026-SUNEDU-DS-DIRESESU-UVE and relates to Universidad Nacional de Frontera.

The abstention covers receiving the preliminary evaluation and investigation reports, copies of the decision on whether to open a sanctioning administrative procedure, and forwarding the final investigation report to SUNEDU's Board of Directors.

The resolution states the abstention applies to any other procedural step involving DIRESESU in this file for as long as she remains its director.
