Why it matters: Higher education institutions' internal quality assurance systems are the subject of the series, whose first session addressed regulation, coordination and continuous improvement.

The Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN) said it has opened a series of webinars on the internal quality assurance systems, known in Spanish as SIAC, of higher education institutions.

According to ASCUN, the first session was titled "Los SIAC como cultura de calidad: normatividad, articulación y mejoramiento continuo" (Internal quality assurance systems as a culture of quality: regulation, coordination and continuous improvement).

ASCUN said the CNA took part in the opening session as the invited institution.
