Why it matters: Staff, faculty and students at Queen's University can join wellbeing programming throughout November, and the university says their feedback will shape future initiatives.

Queen's University said Thrive Month, a pilot expansion of its yearly Thrive Week, runs from 2 to 30 November and is open to all staff, faculty and students.

The programme's theme is "Wellbeing in Action: Skills, Strategies, and Support for Everyday Thriving", and it includes a keynote by Dr Tim Salomons of the university's Department of Psychology on practical cognitive behavioural therapy skills.

Sydney Downey, Director of Employee Wellness Services, said the expansion responds directly to employee feedback asking for more practical wellbeing programming, and that the pilot will gather feedback to inform future initiatives.

The university credited Manulife's continued support and investment with helping it expand the offering.
