According to Tec de Monterrey, members of the administration vice-presidency of Universidad de los Andes (Uniandes) in Colombia visited the Monterrey campus from 26 to 30 October to learn about its shared services model.
The visitors examined the structure, scope and strategies of TECservices, a team that serves students, parents, faculty and staff, with the stated aim of adopting good practices.
Roberto Morales, director of TECservices, said the meeting covered the history and evolution of Tec's Shared Services Centre and the improvement opportunities identified in recent years, and that both sides would learn from each other.
Morales said internal restructuring has helped TECservices improve service indicators, response times and self-service processes for its users.
