A McGill University delegation visited Ghana's KNUST to assess the progress of its Mastercard Foundation-backed agri-food collaborative and explore ways to strengthen the partnership.
Why it matters: The KNUST team running the Nkabom Collaborative hosted McGill as it assessed the programme's progress and explored ways to strengthen the partnership.
KNUST's Nutrition and Sustainable Agri-food Collaborative, run in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and known as the Nkabom Collaborative, hosted a McGill University delegation to assess progress and explore strengthening the partnership, the university said.
According to KNUST, the delegation met the implementation team and beneficiaries of the programme, which seeks to tackle youth unemployment through opportunities across the agri-food value chain.
The visitors toured an aquaculture training facility used by participants of the Multipurpose Integrated Project and spoke with trainees on the Entrepreneurship Intervention Training programme.
Professor Angela Campbell, McGill's Provost and Executive Vice-President, expressed satisfaction with progress, particularly across the collaborative's three strategic pillars, KNUST reported.
