IPB University takes first place at Mandaya Awards 2026 for 'One Village One CEO' scheme
IPB University won first place among Indonesia's legally autonomous state universities at the Mandaya Awards 2026, recognising its One Village One CEO rural business programme.
Why it matters: Rural communities and partners in IPB University's One Village One CEO programme face a planned push to strengthen collaboration and take local products to global markets.
IPB University said it won first place in the category for PTNBH, legally autonomous state universities, at the Mandaya Awards 2026.
According to the university, the award recognised community empowerment through its One Village One CEO (OVOC) programme, which supports village economies through capacity building, business mentoring and business development based on local potential.
Dr Handian Purwawangsa, head of IPB University's Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I) and the initiator of OVOC, said the university would next strengthen collaboration and the competitiveness of local products so they can reach global markets.
The university said OVOC brings together the university, government, businesses and communities to strengthen the rural economic ecosystem.
