Why it matters: Students in capital market clubs at IPB University, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Padjadjaran and Universitas Indonesia took part in the joint summit.

IPB University reported that more than 200 students from several Indonesian universities attended the Future Investor Summit (FINVEST) 2026, organised by IPB Finance Club at the Dramaga campus on 31 October.

According to the university, the event involved four student communities: IPB Finance Club, the Capital Market Study Group of Universitas Diponegoro, Young Investor at Universitas Padjadjaran and the Capital Market Student Club at Universitas Indonesia.

Club adviser Ali Mutasowifin cited the 2025 national financial literacy and inclusion survey by OJK, Indonesia's Financial Services Authority, and BPS, the national statistics agency, which put literacy among 18–25-year-olds at 73.22 per cent and inclusion at 89.96 per cent.

He said the figures show that many young people use financial products and services without fully understanding how to use them.
