Why it matters: EPFL research teams in neurotechnology, medical AI and assistive robotics will present their work directly to public visitors on 7 and 8 November.

EPFL said its Scientastic festival will turn its campus into a hands-on space devoted to health technologies on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November.

The festival is organised by EPFL's Science Outreach Department (SPS) and, according to the university, aims to show how science and technology help to understand the body, prevent disease and improve treatment.

A highlight is the interactive exhibition "COMMENT ÇA MARCHE?" ("How does it work?"), where science communicators, students and researchers will guide visitors through innovations in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.

Research teams working on neurotechnologies, AI in medicine, assistive robotics, new treatments and connected devices will present their work through lab visits and interactive stands, including research on restoring movement after spinal cord injury.
