Why it matters: Georgia Tech's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs has a professor's expertise behind a public exhibit in Atlanta that stays open until June 2027.

Georgia Tech said Kirk Bowman, a professor and Regents' Entrepreneur in its Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, acted as the single academic consultant for the exhibit "The People's Game: Soccer and Human Rights".

According to the university, Atlanta's National Center for Civil and Human Rights is showing the exhibit until June 2027.

The university said the exhibit features examples from several countries, among them Brazilian players linked to democratic reform in Brazil, supporters of Afghan women players whose club the Taliban shut down, and the Atlanta youth mentoring charity Soccer in the Streets.

Bowman told the university that the exhibit is likely to be the largest impact his work ever achieves.
