Why it matters: Students with disabilities and neurodivergent people at G9 institutions are those whose records were the subject of the commission's analysis.

According to the Universidad de Concepción, representatives of several higher education institutions in the G9 network took part in work by its Inclusion Commission (Comisión de Inclusión).

The G9 is the Red de Universidades Públicas no Estatales, a network of public universities that are not state-owned.

The university reported that participants analysed how information about students with disabilities and neurodivergent people is managed.

The discussion took place in the context of changes to the rules governing personal data protection, the university said.
