Why it matters: Researchers and staff at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad gain training, exchanges and mentoring with CSIC-CIAL and Aix-Marseille University through the project.

According to CORDIS, the GREENEX-TWIN project aims to strengthen research and innovation capacity at the Faculty of Technology Novi Sad (TFNS) in extracting bioactive compounds from underused plants, food industry by-products and agricultural waste.

The project is listed as a Coordination and Support Action under Horizon Europe's 'Widening participation and spreading excellence' strand.

TFNS will cooperate with Spain's Institute for Food Science Research (CSIC-CIAL) and Aix-Marseille University through training programmes, staff exchanges, mentoring and joint pilot activities in green extraction and biorefinery methods.

The project description assigns Foodscale Hub responsibility for visibility, research management capacity, stakeholder engagement, dissemination and exploitation of results.
