Why it matters: Working professionals seeking university-level study in one defined subject can take individual Allensbach Hochschule modules rather than enrolling in a full degree.

Allensbach Hochschule said its university certificates let people in employment study a clearly defined subject area at higher education level.

According to the institution, participants demonstrate what they have achieved by sitting an examination, with the certificates carrying ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits.

The institution said a single module or several modules can be taken from its bachelor's and master's degree programmes for this purpose.
