Why it matters: The 25 huffaz graduates of USIM's Faculty of Science and Technology now hold degrees across a range of science and technology fields.

Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), based in Nilai, reported that 25 huffaz graduates from its Faculty of Science and Technology received degrees at the university's 24th convocation ceremony.

According to the university, all 25 graduates are huffaz who have completed memorisation of all 30 juz (sections) of the Quran.

The degrees awarded to the group span various science and technology fields, the university said.

USIM presented the graduates' achievement as showing that mastery of the Quran and scientific knowledge can progress together.
