Why it matters: The programme is aimed at women-led care-economy ventures that already have a product, service or pilot, with groups of 25 at each of eight sites, Guadalajara included.

Tec de Monterrey's Guadalajara campus, in collaboration with UN Women, is promoting the Preaceleradora de Cuidados (Care Pre-accelerator) for women-led ventures building solutions for the care economy, according to the university.

The university said the programme is aimed at early-stage or consolidating ventures that already have a product, service or pilot, in areas such as childcare, digital care platforms, elder and disability care, and technology that reduces domestic work.

According to the university, the programme will have eight sites, Guadalajara among them, and each site will form a group of 25 ventures.

Participants will take 30 hours of hybrid training covering leadership and wellbeing, the care economy and gender perspective, business models, financial management and growth, the university said.
