Why it matters: Posyandu cadres in Situ Leutik, Dramaga village, are the programme's primary target group, chosen by the students as channels for household finance knowledge.

IPB University reported that a student team supervised by Prof Lilik Noor Yuliati has initiated a structured education programme called 'Cerdas Finansial Desa' (Village Financial Smart).

According to the university, the initiative is carried out in Situ Leutik, Dramaga village, Bogor Regency, with posyandu (community health post) cadres as its primary target and a training-of-trainers method.

Student representative Annisaturradiah said the programme is designed to close gaps in household money management knowledge by preparing interactive modules, practical pocket books and continuing outreach materials.

The university said the materials focus on four pillars, including simple household accounting and separating small-business cash from household funds.
