UFRJ's Macaé campus installs new deanship team with pledge to prioritise mental health
A new deanship team has taken office at the Macaé campus of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), committing to a focus on welcoming people and on mental health.
Why it matters: Students and staff at UFRJ's Macaé campus now have a new leadership team that has committed to prioritising welcoming people and mental health.
UFRJ reported that a new Decania, the leadership team of the campus deanship, was sworn in at its Macaé campus in a ceremony it described as emotional and marked by a defence of science and democracy.
According to UFRJ, the new leaders stated a commitment focused on welcoming people and on mental health.
The incoming team recalled what UFRJ called historic achievements of the campus and defended the public university as a place that transforms lives, the university said.
