ATDC opens North Star AI Labs to Georgia start-ups after a year in stealth mode
The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) has publicly launched North Star AI Labs, giving Georgia entrepreneurs access to AI tools, coworking and a platform that matches founders with AI engineers and students.
Why it matters: Georgia founders building AI products can now join the lab, and students may be matched to their projects through its talent platform.
The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) announced on 28 October 2026 the public launch of North Star AI Labs, which is intended to give entrepreneurs across Georgia access to AI tools, technical talent and an innovation community.
According to the announcement, the initiative ran in stealth mode for the past year and is now open to founders, start-ups and creators building and scaling AI-driven solutions.
The lab offers hands-on programming and events, collaborative coworking, and a project-based talent matching platform linking founders with AI engineers and students, the centre said.
James Harris, ATDC's entrepreneur in residence and founder of North Star AI Labs, said most AI labs are out of reach for start-ups and that small businesses cannot simply walk into a university lab and begin building.
