The University of Kufa said its Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences held a scientific seminar on the design of athletics tracks.
According to the university, the speakers were Professor Dr Ammar Makki Ali, Dr Mayasa Abd Ali Al-Fatlawi, Dr Mustafa Adnan Abboud and lecturer Zainab Amin Majhool.
The university said the seminar set out to present the scientific and technical foundations of athletics track design and the specifications and standards adopted in their construction, with attention to safety requirements.
