UNAM philosophy faculty opens third Kierkegaard colloquium, 180 years after the Postscript
The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at Mexico's National Autonomous University (UNAM) has opened its third Colloquium of Kierkegaard Studies, marking 180 years since a major work by the Danish philosopher was published.
Why it matters: UNAM's Faculty of Philosophy and Letters has now brought its colloquium on Kierkegaard to a third edition, focused on how current his thought remains.
According to Gaceta UNAM, the university's Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (FFyL) inaugurated the third Colloquium of Kierkegaard Studies.
Gaceta UNAM reported that the event comes 180 years after the publication of Søren Kierkegaard's Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments.
Gaceta UNAM described the colloquium as a meeting devoted to reviewing how current the Danish philosopher's thought remains and what it contributes.

If the colloquium keeps to its stated purpose, its work at UNAM's Faculty of Philosophy and Letters will centre on reassessing how relevant Kierkegaard's thinking remains, in a third edition timed to mark 180 years since the Postscript appeared.
