TÜBİTAK announced that the evaluation of the 2573 bilateral cooperation support programme call run with Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has concluded.

According to TÜBİTAK, the two agencies decided to support a total of 10 projects, and it published the names of the lead researchers and their organisations in both countries.

Turkish participants named in the published list include Çukurova, Karabük and Kocaeli universities, a fisheries research institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and several private technology firms.

On the Indonesian side, the list names Bogor Agricultural University, BRIN research centres such as its applied microbiology centre, and Indonesian companies.

Why it matters

Universities in both countries appear among project leads alongside companies and government research centres, so research offices at these institutions now have funded bilateral partnerships to administer.

The announcement shows that the 2573 programme pairs Turkish and Indonesian teams that mix academic and industry partners, which is relevant to institutions weighing future applications to the scheme.
