Six French research funders present joint open science action plan for 2026-2030
France's open science network of funding agencies, which includes the national research agency ANR, has presented a 2026-2030 action plan drawn up in connection with the ministry's new 2026-2033 Open Science Strategy.
Why it matters: The six funders in the network, ADEME, ANR, ANRS MIE, Anses, FRM and INCa, now have a shared open science action plan for 2026-2030.
According to the Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR), France's national research agency, the open science network of French funding agencies brings together ADEME, ANR, ANRS MIE, Anses, FRM and INCa.
ANR reported that the network held a meeting on 23 September at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris to reaffirm its concerted approach to open science, attended by more than 140 representatives of higher education and research.
At the meeting, ANR chief executive Claire Giry presented the network's action plan for 2026-2030, ANR said.
ANR stated that the plan was drawn up in connection with the new 2026-2033 Open Science Strategy of MESRE, France's Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space.
