Why it matters: LanthaGen Bio, a University of Manchester start-up, receives £100,000 in equity to extend its metals recycling research.

The University of Manchester said that LanthaGen Bio Ltd, one of its start-ups, came first in the debut edition of the Coller AI Competition.
