Maastricht's MACCH conference seeks abstracts on unique goods and financial crime by 11 December
Maastricht University's yearly MACCH conference, organised with the NWO-funded PRICELESS consortium, wants proposals by 11 December 2026 for its March 2027 meeting on valuing and regulating unique high-value goods.
Why it matters: Scholars, practitioners and artistic researchers studying how rare, high-value goods are priced, regulated and linked to financial crime have until 11 December 2026 to submit proposals.
Maastricht University has opened a call for academic papers, professional talks and artistic research for its yearly MACCH conference, scheduled for 18 and 19 March 2027 in Maastricht during the final days of TEFAF, the European Fine Art Fair.
The organisers said the 2027 meeting will centre on how one-of-a-kind, high-value goods are priced and regulated, and on their connection to financial crime.
Proposals, limited to 300 words and including the author's name and affiliation, must be emailed by Friday 11 December 2026, and any contribution format is accepted.
According to the organisers, chosen contributors will be invited into an open-access edited book in Springer's Studies in Art and Heritage, Law and the Market series or, alternatively, a planned special journal issue, and the event is co-organised with PRICELESS, a consortium funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
