Baesweiler school honoured as talent-scouting partner of two Aachen universities
A secondary school in Baesweiler has received the 'Schule im NRW-Talentscouting' plaque, marking its cooperation with scouts at RWTH Aachen University and at Aachen University of Applied Sciences.
Why it matters: Gifted pupils at Baesweiler High School and elsewhere in the Aachen area can call on guidance from scouts based at the two Aachen universities.
RWTH Aachen University said scouts at RWTH and at Aachen University of Applied Sciences help gifted secondary pupils across the wider Aachen metropolitan area.
According to RWTH, this help also reaches pupils in three nearby districts: Düren, Heinsberg and Euskirchen.
The university reported that Baesweiler High School received the 'Schule im NRW-Talentscouting' plaque (roughly 'School in North Rhine-Westphalia Talent Scouting') to recognise its part in the cooperation.
